If you had visited the Rotary Club of Bendigo Sandhurst regular meeting on the 5th Sept 2007 you would have been excused for thinking it was more like a day at the footy than a Rotary meeting?
It was all in aid of Footy Colours Day, which raises funds for the Australian Bone Marrow Donor Institute.
President Robert Guley a St Kilda fan, said the dressing up was all in good fun. "We had a lot fun, We changed the format of the meeting around to cope with that, and raise a bit of money." All codes were represented - including one very brave Robert Botwood, in English rugby union colours.
Rotary member Paul Henderson brought his son Riley along. Both are passionate Hawthorn supporters; Riley's got Shane Crawford's signature on that football he's hanging on to. But he didn't really have a choice in his team - dad Paul bought Hawthorn jumpers for Riley and his twin sister Laura before they were even born!
