Rotary Club of Bendigo Sandhurst

The 2010 Rotary District 9800 Model United Nations Assembly (MUNA) will be held on the weekend of the 20th, 21st and 22nd August 2010 at Rotary Camp Getaway, Axedale.

62 Students representing 31 countries will debate on matters of world political and social concern.

The Assembly is about building bridges of goodwill for world peace and understanding through a personal involvement in the acceptance of situations that reflect the opinion of "adopted" countries. Students are challenged by the opportunities to extend research, debating and public speaking skills by addressing a wide range of contemporary, world focussed issues.

The assembly is held over a weekend with the venue set up to recreate the U.N. Assembly Chamber with name plates, flags and national costumes being encouraged.

Rotarians, Families, Friends and members of the public are encouraged to attend either and witness the Assembly in action.
