Youth Sailing Programs - the Audi Victoria Week Rotary Youth Prgram

“Truly a once in a lifetime experience”
In 2001 John Bertrand AM, Patron of Audi Victoria Week and Victorian Australia Day Committee Member, introduced a concept that has evolved into the Rotary Youth Program.

The program involves selection from fourteen Regional District 9800 clubs ranging from Gisborne through to Echuca/Moama, of six students, male or female, aged between 15 – 17 years, to participate in The Australia Day Celebrations, in Melbourne held over a three day period.

The final six selected students are hosted by two D9800 Melbourne clubs, during their stay with us and are very fortunate to have the opportunity to attend The Official Australia Post Australia Day Luncheon, usually held at The Melbourne Convention Centre and also to sail on individual Sydney 38 yachts in one of the biggest and oldest sporting events in Victoria, the 38 nautical mile Passage Race from Williamstown to Geelong, all part of The Audi Geelong Week celebrations.
