Supporting Harcourt Fire Relief
Discussed ways to help those affected by recent Harcourt fires
Rotary Club of Castlemaine is coordinating relief efforts
Funds available from Vic Government and other sources
Decision: Wait and see what is needed, then support RC of Castlemaine when the time comes

Australia Day Family Day and Market update
The Australia Day Family Day and Market have again received support from the CoGB and will take place on Australia Day 2026 on Monday 26 January 2026 at Lake Weeroona. Market starts at 9am Family activities at 10am.
Peter Rainey met with a motivated and excited Market Committee to continue planning and confirming the format and events of the day.

Wanted volunteers to support our Aust. Day roster
Kevin Reade is putting out the call to members who may have family and/or friends who would be willing to volunteer some time at Australia Day at Lake Weeroona. We need some more people on the roster to ensure we have good capacity on the day.

Guest Speaker February 4th- Dianne Dempsey
Dianne Dempsey, well known Bendigo author, will be our guest speaker on Wednesday February 4th. Di will speak about her book "Saving Dragons" which outlines the life of Russell Jack, a wonderful Bendigo personality, and his contribution to the Community. This may be of interest to others. Partners, family members and friends are most welcome to join us.
"Saving Dragons" is on sale at Bookish in Hargreaves Street and at the Golden Dragon museum.

"On to Conference" or "On to Impact Summit"
Are you considering going or have already booked to go to the Impact Summit in Horsham, then I would really like to know so that we can look at whether we hold a club event or not. At this time, I know that we have five members with accommodation booked. Please email or text me if you are already booked or are considering going.
I will keep you updated when I know more about the Summit program.
