Those on raffle duty, it is only the selling of the tickets, the club has accepted to responsibility for the prizes. There will be a container of mixed prizes held in the store room of the tennis club.
A few of our members and partners, attended Bendigo South and Eaglehawk’s trivia night last Friday evening. Our table was severely hampered in its ability to win on the night by certain members (me) lack of general knowledge. The night was well attended by other Rotary Clubs and public. It should also be noted during the music questions certain members (see photos) were very adept at dancing.

The results from the Festival of the Olive Harvest With around 230 kilograms of olives harvested. The calculation of the yield for the batch based on the litres of oil produced divided by the total weight of fruit delivered to our processing facility. The Rotary batch produced 32.31L of oil, which is a yield of 14.2%. The current proposal is to bottle this oil into 500ml bottles and then on sell
District Assembly was held this past Saturday via Zoom, hosted by our new DG Amanda Wenat. District budget was approved set at $230 US. One of the main themes was membership. The western world is seeing declining membership but the Asian region is experiencing an upsurge. More information to follow.
Lightning Reef will be celebrating Education Week from May 30-June 3. On Wednesday 1st June they will be having an Open Day for parents and families to come into school to see their children at work. As part of the day they are planning to have a free sausage sizzle. Still a couple of extra hands required from 11:00 am – 1:30 pm Please ring Stu if you can manage to attend. Our Club is just providing the labour and equipment.

RCoBS Industry Visits to Thales Bendigo
Wednesday June 29th & Thursday July 28th
Two Industry visits to Thales, Finn Street Bendigo, have been arranged in the near future. As there is a limit of twenty visitors two dates have been arranged in an attempt to accommodate all members who would like to participate.
The dates are Wednesday June 29th (10AM until 12 NOON) & Thursday July 28th at the same time.
Please note that the June date is two days before the Changeover Dinner. Please contact Jim Rolfe (0407554263) or jimrolfe9@gmail.com if you would like to participate indicating your preferred date. If both dates are suitable please indicate this as it will help accommodate everyone who wishes to participate. I will confirm the allocation of dates well ahead of time.
