What a relief!
I watched our back verandah thermometer dive from 36.8 to 23.6C
Back to normality.
 
I don’t mind us changing the date of Australia Day … to something cooler, please. Long range “forecast” averages for May 8  is top of 19C, and I bet that it’d rain.
 
Congratulations and Bouquets to the club.
Australia Day is a massive successful event.
Now to Easter.
 
This morning we were “at the track”:
Didn’t see Lloyd Williams or “Gai” Waterhouse, but, we did see more than one galloper “havin’ a go” on the training track.
 
Doug in our Chair introduced Margot Falconer Chair Bendigo Jockey Club who made us most welcome in Silks, bringing out the historic cup to emphasize the respect the racing fraternity have for the Bendigo Club and the course.
 
I’ve taken notes listening to many a guest speaker, and Margot “takes the cake”. My pen and an Apple pen at that, could not keep up.
Her rate of information delivery, all in such a pleasant manner is the hallmark of an expert from “the pointy end” of corporate proficiency.
 
Bottom Line:
Please support a robust well managed business, respected across Australia.

The conference is in Warrnambool, a beautiful coastal town situated on the Prince’s Highway  south east of Melbourne and dating from the gold rush days of the 1850’s. It is a fabulous location and we hope you’ve had a look at the website to gain some idea of what’s in store;
