Firstly congratulations, to Peter Elliott our newest Paul Harris Fellow, an excellent tribute to a deserving member of our Club.
Thanks to team Kev and his team for supporting the Anglicare BBQ last Friday night to thank the Foster carers and children for their year’s support.

Our own Christmas party was well attended and I hope everybody enjoyed themselves. Everyone was especially impressed with the duet of Julia and Adrian very well done (see me later for bookings)
Special thanks go out to the Fellowship committee headed by Judy, for the wonderful help offered before and on the day for the Xmas function.

Guest Speakers

Guest Speaker
Dean of St Paul's Cathedral Very Reverend Elizabeth Dyke

Dean Elizabeth, like so many clergy, started her day much earlier than us with a call out to the Hospital Emergancy Department, she arrived with little time to settle and was only able to give a breif overview of the forced closure of the Cathedral in 2010 with quite a lot of structural faults. Repairs took 7 years before the engineers signed of on the re-opening. Work is still ongoing with the tower only recently being reopened for bell ringing.

Dean Elizabeth will return for a follow up and hopefully she will not be starting so early next time.

Notices
Hi to Bendigo Sandhurst Rotary Club Members,

Just a quick email to thank you for coming along and being part of our inaugural Golf Day for Bendigo Foodshare on Friday.
We hope the team playing on your Club’s behalf had an enjoyable day!

We are thrilled to announce the day has raised over $16,000 for Bendigo Foodshare to help locals doing it tough this Christmas.
We also appreciate you sponsoring one of the holes on the day and purchasing raffle tickets to aid our fundraising efforts!

And of course…would not have been able to pull off such a fabulous day without all the effort and help from your Club.
We can’t thank you enough for bringing and cooking the BBQ and allowing us to use your cool room.

Please find your team photos attached….what a ragtag group.

Here’s to an even bigger and better Golf Day in 2022.
Another history lesson from John Cannon
Last Tuesday I went wandering in the bush out near Sedgwick / North Harcourt. I was looking for some water cascades on The Coliban Main Channel that brings our water from Malmsbury to Bendigo. This system was built 150 years ago.

The link below is a 6 minute video I made of the cascades.
I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed making it.
