Presidents Report
Welcome back, what an enormous week as usual for this club.
Thank you again to John Cannon and Tony Commadeur who did a great job collecting a full trailer and Ute supply of goods from Melb DIK to Rochester. Our ongoing support to these vulnerable people is essential however long it takes.
A brilliant presentation from Ted regarding the market leaving no questions unanswered. We are very fortunate to have Ted donate his skills and time to the Markets and extremely thankful for the result he achieves.
What a wet start to the marking out on Thursday. Only to find at 4am on Friday it was all washed away and time to remark.
It was a combined effort by the whole team for a very smooth and beneficial result. Consensus from many stall holders was the wonderful work that Rotarians do. Eaglehawk with their book stall and Bendigo South with their BBQ added to the marketing.
Sunday, they came back for more fun, and the festivities continued without the rain. All reports a very successful day. Hoping you were all able to find a little time to spend with your loved ones.
Many members now are in the process of updating or completing their WWCC and mandatary form three, essential for our insurance cover.
Will be looking for some more volunteers to deliver the products collected from DIK to local kindergartens and daycare centres.
Invitation is always open to attend other clubs in the Cluster for their meetings, sharing and swapping ideas whilst networking is a bonus. Bendigo's Art Exhibition and Golfing at Kangaroo Flat over the Easter break activities are well worth the time.
Rug up as the weather changes and put the next events on your calendar.

Lightning Reef Primary School update
Coles Fruit for Lightning Reef
“Spécialiste des fruits” Brendon (right), looks forward to his Monday mornings at Coles, Bendigo because that’s the day he prepares the weekly donation of his best fruit for the Lightning Reef Primary School.
If you shop in Coles and you see him on the floor in the fruit section, please give Brendon and his boss Zac a big thankyou on behalf of the kids at the school.
Lightning Reef Garden Relocation – Working Bees
Working-bees are planned for the next 2 Sunday mornings 10am to 12pm on 16th and 23rd April, to relocate the garden within the school grounds. It’s necessary because the current location of the garden has been allocated to the adjacent pre-school.
The work involves digging out the soil from the 8 bins, moving the bins to the new location and then refilling with new garden soil. In the process, we will do our best to up-root and replant the growing vegies.
