President's report

  • What a great attendance on ANZAC morning. Amazing crowd and beautiful service. It was an enormous effort for Maurice and Pauline to travel down from Boga to attend at 5am. I think Kevin doesn’t go to bed the night before so he can collect Robbie on the way and set up before the town has woken. Many thanks to the 24 who came to help, it was very much appreciated.
  • Our thoughts and wishes go to Glenys for a speedy recovery post her surgery and may this be the last for now. We know Rob is doing a great job and believe he is open to offers for some quick easy recipes, not pork ones! Rehab can be a long haul but so worth it. Good luck Glennie!
  • Stew and a small band of helpers finished off preparing the Lightning Reef vegetable boxes ready for more planting by the children.
  • On Thursday the baby formula and laundry disinfectant were delivered to Rochester Day care and Kindergarten. And will replenish the supply next week.
  • Friday was Trivia night, and we had a full table attending. (Ed's note: Despite the best efforts of our team's brainboxes and dancers we did not win, but we had plenty of fun).
  • Please see Kev if you can help with extra hours for Groovin The Moo.
  • DG Amanda has sent a request for those attending the Convention to volunteer on Saturday 27th May , if they wish, in the project called The Big Difference. Training will be required for this Event. It involves packing For a Meal and will be held in Fed Square. All meals will be going to Ukraine, Turkey and Syria.
  • A reminder to club members that they can nominate someone for a Paul Harris Fellow recognition - by May 7 please.
  • Enjoy the week, spend some time with family and friends enjoying the sunshine. Stay well and Happy.
President Judy
