Well what a day for the inaugural Josh Brady Memorial Ramble it was very well attended with 24 participants in eight cars. The Coliban channel system is a very unique part of Bendigo’s History. Today I leant so much but still so very much to learn. In any good Ramble there are winners and losers and today was no different. Congratulations go out the two joint winners Team Annan (Stu & Gayle) and Team Schoo (Madeline and Adrian). I must say the audience was most unfair on the not to be bribed judges, remember they had a very difficult job to do. Our thanks go out to John and Ned for the time and effort in organizing this very successful “inaugural” event also thanks to Barb for opening up her house to us all. Hopefully an annual event.

 

Again thanks to all whom returned the survey regarding breakfast menu options. With 28 returns in, option 2 was the clear winner with a resounding 85 % acceptance. The Manager of the Tennis Centre is away on medical leave for a few weeks, Chris and I will arrange a catchup on his return.

 

Industry visit to Thales on Wednesday June 29th from 10AM until 12 noon. This is two days before changeover with a possible clash with Reclink.  The numbers are limited to twenty. Thales have kindly agreed to schedule another visit should the numbers wanting to participate go beyond twenty. Jim is firming up the second date with Thales once this has been achieved Jim will start taking names. There will be some conditions of entry, i.e. no photos Covid injections etc these will be outlined as the date(s) becomes closer.

 

Olive Harvest this Sunday coming this will be a joint venture with the Rotary Club of Bendigo South (see Graeme’s column)
