• Welcome everyone to this 45th week of our Rotary year.
• Down to the 114th RI Convention on Friday. Such a buzz even before the official opening. What an exciting experience with 14,000 attendees. Many great speakers and stories were shared, some starting with just an idea. It was very encouraging to see so many motivated Rotaractors both from here and internationally.
• We had 30 attend from the cluster clubs so networking was caught up on when opportunity allowed. The Cluster dinner on Saturday night let us have fun and fellowship amongst those who attended. Many thanks to Maurice Woodburn for arranging a wonderful venue for 25 members and guests.
• President Peter from Bendigo Rotary arranged a tour for some of the Presidents in the cluster who had sponsored students on the ‘One and All ‘sailing ship. Our student Tilda will be on the return trip to Adelaide this week. We were taken right through the ship down into the bunk rooms, meals area learning about their experiences and the stories the students shared. On reflection we agreed it would be worth sponsoring again.
• Can the Directors please send your annual reports through to Paul Henderson shortly so he has time to collate before the changeover.
• Another reminder in your diary for our Changeover Event on July 2nd and the District Changeover on June 24th. Awaiting bus details for this.
• Thanks to Rob for organizing and running the first week of laundry collection for the BWNS. Much appreciated.
• Adrian and Ray still calling for President Elect for next year if you are interested.
• CONGRATULATIONS to the Club for its 35 years of service in RI District 9800 as it was chartered on 2/6/1988. Well done especially to our Charter members.
Much COVID around especially after the Convention.
Take care and be safe.
