Co-President's report
Co-President Report for 21st Jan 2026

There was no meeting today to allow members to recover from the fantastic effort put in on Australia Day.
Thank you to all members who helped on the day and all the wonderful volunteers who joined us on the day. We are very grateful for your support.

The funds raised from the BBQ are going to support Harcourt. We received extra donations on the day from the community who wanted to help. We thank all them as well. We don’t have a total from the day yet.

Our Community Services Chair (Liz) has been following up with the RC of Castlemaine to identify support we can help them with. She will let the Club know when there is something confirmed.

Our Rotary Ambassador this year was Toni West from Impact Recovery. There is a link below to their website if you want some information about what they do.
Here is an excerpt from an email Toni sent after the event:

I was incredibly humbled by today, I just wanted to say well done to the Club for what was such a united event of peace and kindness to all.

I felt like I had met a new family, you were so kind and welcoming to me and helped me to anchor in to deliver a message.

Looking forward to catching up soon with you all, you are the best!!!!!!!!!!

Keep on doing what you do, your club makes a significant difference and no doubt you are all tired, so rest well.

Toni.”

Jim has organised Toni to be a guest speaker to let us know more about what they do and the potential opportunities for both our organisations.

Guest Speaker February 4th- Dianne Dempsey

Dianne Dempsey, well known Bendigo author, will be our guest speaker on Wednesday February 4th. Di will speak about her book "Saving Dragons" which outlines the life of Russell Jack, a wonderful Bendigo personality, and his contribution to the Community. This may be of interest to others. Partners, family members and friends are most welcome to join us.

"Saving Dragons" is on sale at Bookish in Hargreaves Street and at the Golden Dragon museum.

The Noticeboard
Each week various information come into the Bulletin email, small bits to add into the bulletin that doesn't really go anywhere else but may be good to know. Sometimes it's an announcement, an invitation, an update or advertisement.
Here are this week's tidbits:

"On to Conference" or "On to Impact Summit"
Are you considering going or have already booked to go to the Impact Summit in Horsham, then I would really like to know so that we can look at whether we hold a club event or not. At this time, I know that we have five members with accommodation booked. Please email or text me if you are already booked or are considering going.
I will keep you updated when I know more about the Summit program.

Note: Two speakers have been added to the Summit Speaker list. Click on the link below to see details.
